The White Oak team remembers Dr. Fleck, who served as Medical Director for several years until his passing in May 2019. Dr. Fleck's calm, thoughtful, and caring nature is irreplaceable, and we feel lucky to have experienced it and learned from it, along with the example he set for going above and beyond for all of the pets that he treated throughout the years.
Dr. Fleck received his Bachelor's Degree in Biology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 from Ohio State University. Originally from Altoona, Pennsylvania, Dr. Fleck served clients and pets at White Oak Veterinary Clinic for over 11 years. His professional interests included internal medicine, complex surgeries, endoscopy, and more, and Dr. Fleck was recognized by all pet parents for his calming demeanor and attentive approach to medicine. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Fleck was dedicated to his family, rescued pets, and the great outdoors. His contributions to our hospital family and all those who knew him will not be forgotten.
